This narrative will cover many things: epic journeys, minor meanderings, discoveries, attempts at betterment, new hobby pursuits, old hobby revivals and of course the continued dedication to the quest of taco excellence (on the completely wrong continent). My home base in Africa is Johannesburg in RSA – I am but a visitor here for the time being. Mimi was the name I adopted in my high school French class – no one really calls me by that now. My oft’ present sidekick is called The Dini.

Etosha

Etosha is one of the largest national parks in Africa – it is full of crazy gorgeous wildlife… if you can spot them. We were there during the wet season – while beautiful and green, it certainly made it more difficult for us to see what was out there. Nevertheless – a few key sightings (and of course we fancied ourselves quite expert trackers at the end) include elephant, rhino, giraffe, a lone leopard and a mama cheetah with two cubs.
