le FOOTBALL c'est la vie
Life has ran away with me once again – a brief chronology to catch up: was taken down by the flu, we opened our month-long Umuzi exhibition in Joburg (amazing!), the world cup began (minor detail), our Umuzi kids covered the opening concert and we’ve been (happily) hit with an influx of visitors from NYC bearing taco supplies. Note uptick in taco count!

Football Friday
The media likes our Umuzi kids - this makes up happy as we encourage our learners to be involved to create social awareness in and about their own communities. Here, a cameraman for ESPN Brazil follows Joao as we stopped by Soweto to check out the 2010 World Cup trophy. Joao's smile shows that he loves what he's doing - that makes us more happy.
