Fish River Canyon

This canyon in hot-as southern Namibia is second in size only to the Grand Canyon in the U.S. All I know is that our shouts echoed for miles… and that baboons like to eat shoes.

Finalement!

We’re back from Namibia – such a beautiful country, the landscape transformed itself almost hourly as we drove (and we drove and drove). Our bakkie [truck in America speak] failed us a few times and we were stopped on five separate occasions by enterprising police officers but we still completed the journey with only a bit of time lost in remote, dusty Namibian towns. More to come shortly on our amazing destinations…

Take me there

Tomorrow we are off to Namibia so there will be a bit of a lull on this end - I'd hoped to have a photo of the bad ass road warrior we will be trekking across the continent in but alas it is downpouring in Joburg. This is the view from our new apartment (that we moved into last night in yet another downpour) - the bike is handmade, Julius Caesar there came with the joint.
